Lok Sabha Election 2024 Date LIVE updates:
CEC Rajiv Kumar-led Election Commission of India (ECI) held a press meeting to announce the dates of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
The election for 543 Lok Sabha seats will be held in seven phases from April 19, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar announced on Saturday. The counting will be held on June 4.
Voting is to be held from April 19 in 7 phases, and results are to be announced on June 4
As per source elections in Arunachal and Sikkim will be held on April 19, and in A.P. on May 13; elections to the Odisha Assembly will be held in four phases on May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1.
The elections to 102 constituencies will take place in the first phase, 89 in the second phase, 94 in the third phase, 96 in the fourth, 49 in the fifth, 57 in the sixth, and 57 in the seventh phase.
